Let's talk about material for a second.
The process for testing and selecting our denim material was, to say the least, painstaking. We tested and retested the design with different fabrics for over 18 months, before deciding we had finally found the right mix of fabric and design.
All stretch is not equal...
A true sports pant NEEDS to be four way stretch; it is sadly a normality that many equestrian brands have breeches that are only two way stretch. What does this mean for you, as a rider?
A two way stretch means that the fabric you wear will only stretch horizontally, OR vertically, not both. Think about how limiting that would be in terms of freedom of movement in the saddle.
A four way stretch, like the fabric in all of our products, means that the stretch happens BOTH vertically and horizontally, meaning the fabric moves with your body, rather than restricting it.
Anti cellulite, anyone?
Our Denim SkinTights feature a special weave which means that the stretch in each direction is a very firm stretch, as opposed to a looser stretch like our Luxe Leggings. Because the fabric is a high density weave, this gives the effect of compression, and shapes the body in a comfortable way.
Due to the same weave feature, cellulite and uneven skin is smoothed, leaving an amazing flattering outline for the wearer.
Comfort meets style.
One of the key design aspects of our Denim SkinTights is the waistband.
A big part of the testing for this product was to produce a pant that gave the rider some core support. Why?
Because rider's get sore backs.
As a rider with a bad back, I realise how much it helps to have a firming supportive garment whilst riding. These pants have literally helped me to get back in the saddle.
A lot of back braces worn by riders offer a lot of support, but lack flexibility and comfort. The idea behind our Denim SkinTights is to provide a light supportive waistband that is not restrictive, but still offers something extra to the rider.
With the elasticated panels on each side of the pant, the Denim SkinTights become a bit more flexible, as well as easier to pull on. The waistband panels, in black, also give a slimming effect due to the anti muffin top material, strategically placed right where this issue generally occurs.
Seams
There are three key seam design points in our Denim SkinTights. Each of these is SO important to not only the style of the product, but also the functionality.
Our 'love heart' seam on the rear of the pant, is design to give shape to your booty, and really flatters women of all shapes.
In addition to this, we ensured that there are NO seams on the rider's inner leg area, meaning no uncomfortable lumps under the rider's leg whilst in the saddle. These pants are truly MADE FOR RIDING, and you will feel the difference!
Lastly, we feel that minimal seams are the most flattering for women. We have purposely designed all of our pants so as not to have seams running across the front of the thigh area, which can lead to a 'bulging' effect, as well as give the visual impression of cutting the leg, making it look shorter and heavier.
